Letter and court file, 1817.

The letter dated 1817 grants the cashier of the Merchants Bank in Salem power of attorney over Story's holdings. Samuel Webb served as the witness. David Cummins signed the document as well. The printed court record dated 1844 documents the Supreme Court case of Robert Piatt, et al versus William Oliver, et al. It is signed by Spureme Court Associate Justice Story.
